Expungement Reform Needed In Wisconsin
The lawyers at Gimbel, Reilly, Guerin & Brown, LLP have been actively advocating for expungement and removal of arrest records before courts, law enforcement agencies, and the state legislature, for many decades. This area of the law is critical to everyone from young offenders to professional license and credential holders, business people and many others. The collateral consequences of an arrest, court case and criminal conviction are severe and potential repercussions are life-long.
On June 1st, 2017, GRGB Attorney Raymond M. Dall'Osto testified before a Wisconsin Assembly Committee, on behalf of the State Bar of Wisconsin, in support of AB 331, which would provide some long overdue reforms to Wisconsin’s expungement law. This bill and what it does is summarized by the State Bar of Wisconsin Inside Track on June 7th, 2017.
