To be selected, individuals had to meet the following criteria:

  • Have made an impact in the types of cases handled, clients won and/or pro bono work.

  • Have shown leadership at the firm by leading or serving on committees, mentoring associates, and/or promoting diversity and inclusion.

  • Assume a leadership role in professional organizations and civic/community service initiatives.

    • Luczak has been recognized for his pro bono work on two civil litigation cases that were ruled in favor of prisoner’s rights, being continually recognized as a Wisconsin Super Lawyers "Rising Star", serving as the current Chair of the Criminal Defense Section of the Milwaukee Bar Association and being an adjunct associate professor of law at Marquette University Law School. He also coaches the Marquette National Moot Court Competition team among other accomplishments!

    Nicole Masnica joins Luczak on the thriving criminal defense and appellate team. Masnica was named a 2022 "Elite Lawyer" and has appeared several times on CourtTV as a commentator. She has written numerous articles for several prominent publications and recently lead an "Appeals 101" CLE for the State Bar of Wisconsin. Attorney Masnica serves on the Board of the Elm Grove Junior Guild as well as the Sponsorship Committee for the Association of Women Lawyers.
